This thesis presents a framework to evaluate and optimize the operational strategy for multiple anti anti-ship missiles. In missiles engagement, there is not much time for warship to counteract against attacking anti-ship missiles, so sequential launch of defence guided missiles is suggested. However, when operation of multiple missiles is considered, there are several problems such as interference between seekers of defence guided missiles and decrease of interception probability due to evasive maneuver of a target. To avoid the interference, missile operation strategy controlling launch time interval is analyzed, and to ensure high kill probability, single shot kill probability(SSKP) distribution over engagement distance for each possible target maneuver is derived. Then optimization problem is defined, and missile operation strategy to enhance the engagement effectiveness in given battle situation is suggested by solving the optimization problem. Finally, evaluation of optimization framework is conducted by comparing performance of optimization launch with that of sequential launch. During the evaluation, performance comparison is done depending on change of the number of operated anti anti-ship missiles and change of the information about the type of evasive maneuver of a target.
