Two efficient power management schemes are proposed for the H.263 video sen ice in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. In the first scheme the transmitted power is adjusted so that the error probability of every group of blocks (GOB) will be kept unchanged. In the other scheme the power is adjusted so that the error probability of each GOB will be inversely proportional to the amount of distortion caused by the loss of the GOB. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes considerably outperform the conventional scheme.
